Candelaria

For thousands of years, Turquoise has spanned all cultures, prized as a symbol of wisdom, nobility, and the power of immortality. [Eason, 239] In many ancient cultures, Turquoise was a sacred stone used for power, luck, and protection. Candelaria Turquoise is one of the most prized forms of Turquoise, and it comes from right here in the United States.  Candelaria Turquoise comes from the Candelaria Mine in Nevada's Candelaria Mining District.  Its special due to its hardness.  Candelaria can be cut very precisely, making it a fabulous stone for all kinds of jewelry settings.  Like all Turquoise, it is a stone of protection, keeping its wearer safe from all types of harm.  I like to wear Turquoise when I travel for a little extra boost of safety and security.
